A bid to win the space race
The Qod has been launched into the UK market, claiming to be the “world’s smallest single-piece construction patented electric golf trolley”
Published:  08 December, 2011

It can be reported that Qod was launched at Harrogate, but some clarification is required: Qod Golf was denied a stand at the show because it is yet to be tested by TGI and Foremost, but not to be denied, UK distributor Links SRP set-up a showroom across the road from the Golf Show, in the St George Hotel. Qod banners hung proud on railings facing the main entrance to the show, and Links SRP director Stuart Horne was delighted with the response.

“Harrogate was great for Qod,” starts Horne, speaking exclusively to SGB Golf. “It exceeded all our expectations. Numerous pros and exhibitors visited us to see what all the noise was about. A lot of people in the trade thought Qod was the most innovative golf product in Harrogate that week, and that it should have been in the show. Hopefully we will exhibit next year, once the buying groups have had a chance to test it.”

The Qod has been developed by Sydney-based businessman Collin Hiss, and it is powered by lead acid or lithium batteries by Pure Drive. Arguably Qod’s most impressive feature is its fold-down size, leaving the trolley with a footprint that fits onto a sheet of A3 paper. Such a compact fold-down size means a fleet of Qod trolleys can be stored in a fraction of the space taken up by conventional trolleys.
