Solheim Cup reports merchandising record
The Ladies European Tour has reported that the 2011 Solheim Cup, which was held at Killeen Castle near Dublin in September, was the most successful ever in terms of merchandising. Official suppliers Abacus, Ping Collection, Antigua and Bushnell received exposure to over 80,000 golf fans during the week.
FootJoy wraps up BOA system
FootJoy’s new and enhanced BOA L4 closure system will be available across more shoe models from January 2012. Exclusive to FootJoy, the BOA system promises a ‘glove-like fit’, and will now feature on the FJ Icon and FJ Sports shoes, as well as continuing on the Contour Series and Women’s DryJoys.
Big Max launches Nano into UK
The Big Max Nano electric trolley, with a total weight of 11.5kg, is being launched into the UK market by GolfTech GolfTrading Ltd. A lithium polymer battery is incorporated into the tubular frame of the trolley, and it comes with an RRP of £1,495.
Further expansion for Direct Golf
Direct Golf has taken over the Scottish Golf Centre, incorporating two retail stores in Dundee and Edinburgh. The purchase will be completed in January, taking the number of Direct Golf retail outlets in the UK to 19.
Nikon teams up with Srixon
All Nikon retailers can now offer customers a dozen Srixon Z Star golf balls when they purchase a Nikon Laser 350G Rangefinder.
