GolfTech buys GSS

Golf and Sports Supplies Ltd (GSS), the Bolton-based distributor owned by Ian Waddicar, is being bought in part by Austrian business GolfTech Golfartikelvertriebs GmbH. Final details of the agreement are yet to be confirmed, but SGB Golf understands that GSS will cease to trade under its existing name, to become GolfTech GolfTrading Ltd, with Waddicar remaining as managing director. The new operation will effectively operate as the UK arm for GolfTech, which itself is owned by Thomas Reiter, and already distributes Big Max, Adams Golf, Tommy Armour, Etonic, Izzo and Yes! Golf in some European markets. GolfTech in the UK is set to carry on where GSS leaves off, distributing Big Max, Powerbilt, Rife and Tour Striker in the UK. GolfTech is also planning the UK launch of the F2 range of wedges. Related articles:
