FootJoy extends MyJoys franchise
FootJoy’s DryJoys Tour shoe, which was launched this year and is worn by golfers including Ian Poulter and Luke Donald, has been added to the MyJoys franchise, meaning that golfers can now personalise their DryJoy Tour shoes.
New convention announced
The UK Golf Course Owners Association (UKGCOA) and The Organisation of Golf & Range Operators (OGRO) will jointly host the Golf Business & Industry Convention (GOLF BIC) at the Marriott Forest of Arden, March 29-30, 2012.
New showroom for The Golf Business
The Golf Business has opened a new showroom, warehouse and offices at a new development in Byfleet, Surrey. The Golf Business handles sales and marketing in the UK for EP Pro, Oxford Golf, Kartel and Lambda among other brands.
Planning permission for the London Club
The London Club in Kent has received planning permission to develop a five-star, 130-room hotel with luxury spa. The resort has been designed to have a village feel about it by architects Mackenzie Wheeler, and the London Club hopes the new facilities will help to attract more high-profile tournaments to the venue of the 2010 and 2011 European Open.
PowerPlay Golf raises £65,000
PowerPlay Golf’s Ignition event at Celtic Manor raised £10,000 for the Help for Heroes charity, with total funds from the event reaching £65,000, which has been split between a stable of 15 charities.
