Direct Golf targets women
Direct Golf has unveiled new ladies golf departments in seven of its 17 UK stores. Featuring hardware and apparel from many of the biggest brands, the new sections have opened in Doncaster, Lincoln, Tunbridge Wells, Peterborough, Huddersfield, Reading and Cambridge.
New signings for Premier Licensing
Premier Licensing, the supplier of licensed golf accessories, has added Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic and recently-promoted Queens Park Rangers to its stable of Premiership football club partners. Premier Licensing produces golf accessories for many of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Eastern appeal for club managers
The Club Managers Association of Europe is to hold its first ever conference for Central and Eastern Europe, in Hungarian capital Budapest, November 10-11, 2011. CMAE expects to attract around 100 European club managers to the event, incorporating clubs from a variety of sports.
PGA Kids’ Range launched
Sigma Golf, the company behind PGA Collection golf equipment, has launched a new PGA Kids’ Range, and the new equipment is being utilised by the Golf Foundation with its Golf Roots development programme.
LitePower from Motocaddy
Electric trolley specialist Motocaddy has acquired a significant shareholding in lithium battery producer LitePower. LitePower’s lithium batteries can be used on any powered trolley on the market, and 18 and 36-hole models are on sale via Motocaddy’s sales team.
