Motocaddy Growing golf
Motocaddy has joined Acushnet, Callaway, Ping and TaylorMade as a partner in the BGIA’s Grow Golf campaign. The electric trolley specialist is committing to contribute an annual levy based on UK turnover to the fund, which is being used to stimulate the growth of golf in the UK. For the second year running, Grow Golf has just donated £40,000 to the Golf Foundation’s Golf Roots programme, which aims to reach one million children a year by 2013.
Els goes I-Onic
Ernie Els is wearing the I-Onics Power Sport Magnetic Health Band in competition this year. I-Onics claims to produce the most powerful brand of magnetic, ion-releasing sports bracelets. “I am a firm believer in magnetic therapy,” says Els. I-Onics is distributed worldwide by Sports Plc.
Direct Golf launches TV channel
Direct Golf has launched an online Television channel, Direct Golf TV. “The new channel is designed to improve the shopping experience for everyone at Direct Golf UK,” says Neil Bell, Direct Golf managing director. “With the volume of equipment available on the market today, golfers need as much assistance and advice as possible.”

Sunice gearing up for 2012 Ryder Cup
It was mistakenly reported in the printed issue of March SGB Golf that Canadian outerwear specialist Sunice is an official licensed product partner of the 2013 Ryder Cup. There is, of course, no such thing. Sunice is a partner for the 2012 Ryder Cup, at Medinah CC, Illinois.
