Management buy-out at Motocaddy
Published:  02 September, 2010

Directors at electric trolley company Motocaddy have acquired a majority stake in the company from founder and outgoing managing director Rod Brown.

Tony Webb, who has been a company director and shareholder since 2007, has increased his shareholding and has stepped up to the role of managing director, while chairman David Wells and sales director Neil Parker have also increased their stakes. Brown will remain involved in the business as a consultant and minority shareholder.

“This is an entirely amicable arrangement with Rod, who will still be involved in the future of the brand that he built up from scratch over the past five years,” says Webb.

Motocaddy reports that is expects to see a sales increase of 60% in 2010, from 2009.
