Pure strike from adidas
adidas is launching the adiPure collection of apparel and footwear as part of its range for Spring Summer 2010, in a concerted bid to win overthe mature end of the golf market
Published:  28 September, 2009

While adidas is building on its heritage of producing technical and athletic apparel for Spring Summer 2010, one of the brand's three collections is taking on a more subtle and sophisticated tone; the adiPure collection has been designed to combine technology with a simple, unfussy look, to compliment the ‘3-stripes' and ‘Formotion' collections.

Built to anticipate the needs of the competitive purist,' says adidas, ‘adiPure is infinite elegance and superior performance. Clean designs, contemporary styling and groundbreaking technologies deliver a confident glimpse into the future'. Emphasising a more experienced target market, adidas has signed up Sir Nicholas Faldo to parade the collection in 2010.

"This collection has been designed for someone who really appreciates quality but does not want a lot of frills," Heike O'Leary, brand director for adidas EMEA, tells SGB Golf. "Aesthetically the collection is very clean and we are combining it with Tour-proven technology.

"The collection features a merino wool polo, which is really exciting, and also a sweater made from a silk-cashmere mix. This range consists of premium products with very discreet branding; the clothes are not carrying the three prominent stripes of adidas. In addition to the traditional grey, white and black, the colours are going to be very soft - they don't really scream out. It is a beautiful range."
