"Each clubhead has been designed for the swing characteristics most lady and senior golfers display," explains product manager Simon Daddow. "The drivers (12º and 14º) have offset hosels - a first for Benross - helping slower-swinging golfers square the club face at impact, with lofts to promote a powerful, high ball flight.
"The fairway woods are available in 18º (3 wood) and 21º (5 wood) lofts. The extra loft over traditional woods allows ladies and seniors to see a tangible difference between how far they hit each loft and offer the opportunity to maximize carry with every shot."
Both ranges feature a new bespoke Aldila shaft. "We could have used a men's iron or wood head and simply installed ‘A' and ‘L' flex shafts," Daddow adds, "but their mid bend point would not really have helped ladies and seniors. Instead we had Aldila design us a higher torque shaft (easier to square at impact), with a low bend point to promote a higher ball flight which will carry further."
