Hirzl grabs glove market with both hands
Swiss glove specialist Hirzl has launched its premium Trust Control glove for left-handed golfers (i.e. a right-handed glove). Made from kangaroo hide, which is supposed to provide unmatched durability, the premium Hirzl gloves come with an RRP of £24.99.
Golf Foundation appoints new Chairman
Charles Harrison has been appointed the new chairman of the Golf Foundation. Harrison replaces fellow R&A member John Uzielli, who hadheld the post for six years. The Golf Foundation has reported record expenditure on golf development in 2008, with investment of £1.93 million.
Forgan launches IWD
Budget equipment brand Forgan of St Andrews has launched a line of IWD clubs, from driver to putter. The IWD driver, with a 460cc titanium clubhead comes with a retail price of £100 and all clubs are available to golfers direct at the Forgan website.
Landmark web video
Golf marketing and PR firm Landmark Media is teaming up with TV production specialists Channel 2020 to offer a web video production service. "High quality video encourages visitors to stay longer on websites and interact with brands in a much deeper way," says Landmark director Gary Firkins.

The Ladies European Tour has launched an internet TV channel showing tournament highlights, but due to existing TV deals the content cannot be viewed in the UK, Ireland, South Korea or Spain.
30 years for MacNeil
Harris MacNeil, president and CEO of golf spikes company Champ, has celebrated his 30th anniversary with the company. McNeil's grandfather started the brand in 1931.
Pringle on Tour
England's Sam Little will wear Pringle clothing on the European Tour in 2009. Little is following in illustrious footsteps as Pringle claims to be the first company to have sponsored probably the most sponsored man in golf, Arnold Palmer.
