Ecco fit for Dredge
European Tour star Bradley Dredge (pictured) has signed a multi-year agreement to wear Ecco shoes. The Welshman, 35, will wear Ecco's Classic and World Class shoes. Dredge joins Fred Couples, Colin Montgomerie, Aaron Baddeley and Thomas Bjorn, among others, on the Ecco Tour staff.
Q-Link for Golfsmith
Golfsmith Europe has been appointed official supplier for Q-Link, producers of bracelets and necklaces that are designed to strengthen and balance the body's energetic system.
Sonartec owner arrested
Peter Pocklington, the California-based owner of Sonartec Golf, was arrested on March 11 by FBI agents, on charges that he concealed assets when he filed for personal bankruptcy. A former NHL ice hockey franchise owner, Pocklington acquired club manufacturer Sonartec in 2007.
Srixon support for SFG
Srixon is the new title sponsor for the Single Figure Golfer (SFG) Challenge Tour in 2009. The leading performers from the SFG series of tournaments will form an amateur team, captained by Peter McEvoy, to play a team of former Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup golfers on the 2010 Course at Celtic Manor in October.
