Srixon
Trispeed

Srixon says its new three-piece Trispeed is improved. The ball is made with a larger Energetic Gradient Growth core that is designed to be highly resilient, a soft mid-layer and an ionomer cover that is intended to be soft and durable, complete with a 324-dimple design to promote a penetrating ball trajectory. The larger core should result in greater ball speed, higher launch and low spin. The new Trispeed is scheduled for a spring retail delivery.

RRP: £34.99 per dozen

Titleist
NXT

Titleist launched the latest generation of its NXT line in January, with a new multi-layer NXT Tour ball, and also a new solid-technology NXT. The NXT Tour has a new dual core, designed to give the ball greater speed, while a thinner Fusablend cover is designed to be more durable and to ensure a soft feel for the golfer. The new NXT is a replacement for the previous NXT Extreme, and Titleist says it is the most durable golf ball in its range. The ball is designed to offer high speeds, long distance and low spin. Titleist reports that Golf Datatech research has shown that the only family of golf balls to out-sell the NXT models is the ProV1 set. Shipping started March 1.

RRP: £30 (NXT Tour per dozen); £26 (NXT per dozen)

Bridgestone Golf
New B330 Series

Launched in Orlando, Bridgestone’s new theme for golfers is its promise to offer tour performance for amateur swing speeds. Having conducted over 50,000 amateur golfer ball fittings, Bridgestone says it identified the need for a golf ball that is responsive around the greens, while also finding maximum distance off the tee from moderate swing speeds. The result is the new Tour B330-RX and B330-RXS. The three-piece B330-RX now comes with a core that Bridgestone says is 7% softer than its predecessor, which should generate extra distance, while a reformulated mantle is designed to reduce excess spin. The B330-RXS is built with a softer urethane cover for enhanced spin control, and the new series is scheduled for retail delivery this month.

RRP: £39.99 per dozen
