As part of the joint initiative between the R&A and the PGAs of Europe, the renowned teacher has tabled a recommendation for a three-year aid programme.
Lafitte, the former chairman of the PGAs of Europe's education committee and current vice-chairman of the association, worked with nine teaching professionals and five assistant professionals from Tunisia's five main golf schools, and he also had sessions with three players from the Tunisian national team.
"This evaluation visit was very well received," stated Lafitte, who is in line to become PGAs of Europe president in 2011. "Although Tunisia is a small country I saw a strong desire to develop golf."
