TaylorMade makes new mark
Published:  28 October, 2008

TaylorMade has made a widespread launch of new products for 2009, including three new drivers, two sets of irons and a bag full of putters.

The r7 Limited is the brand's latest driver with moveable weight technology, a new Burner model combines TaylorMade's SuperFast and Dual Crown technologies, while the Burner TP (Tour preferred) comes with a slightly open clubface for the better player.

The company's new Tour Preferred irons were designed with a ‘tour-configured sole' after feedback from Tour pros suggested a softened leading and trailing edge would minimise resistance and discourage digging. These have been built with the better player in mind, while the Burner Plus irons have over-sized clubheads for extra forgiveness and with a view to generating higher ball flight.

The new putters include the Rossa Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider, with a mid-size mallet head, and the Rossa Core Classics, which feature four classically-shaped putters at lower price points: £89 compared to £139 for the new Spider (nothing itsy bitsy about the price).
