Yorkshireman Brand, 53, picked up the fourth Seniors title of his career at the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship at Slaley Hall, having defeated his namesake Gordon Brand Jnr in a play-off, before repeating the feat at the Travis Perkins Senior Masters at Woburn.
2 Thumb had four further finishes in the top-25 at Slaley Hall, and four of the top seven finishers at Woburn. They must be on to something.
