Quintic tested nine putters with a robotic arm, with video analysis at 250 frames per second, to establish average ball rotation from impact, with the S-Blade Emperor, GEL Sedo and TaylorMade Spider coming out on top. S-Blade claims that only its Emperor model got the ball rolling with topspin immediately on impact (frame zero) and was the putter that gave the most roll in the first seven frames.
"For a company in its infancy to clearly outperform some of the world's leading golf equipment manufacturers is great news," says Ian Smith, Spherical Blade managing director. "The test proved that our spherical face technology gets the ball rolling with topspin more effectively than most - graphically illustrated by the fact the Emperor generated the earliest roll of all, and no backspin at all. We were happy to put our products up against some of the biggest brands in the world and the test proved our innovative technology works."
S-Blade has also established a team of six sales agents to represent the brand in the UK and Ireland: Ian Smith (Wales); Doug Adam (Scotland); Seamus McCormack (Ireland); Stuart Crabtree, David Rose and Bob Watkins (England).
