Cleveland
HiBORE XLS
Published: 20 September, 2008
When the HiBore range was launched in January this year Cleveland said the Distance Driven Geometry - of lowering the crown to lower the centre of gravity - produced the only face-centred clubface in golf. Is that a good thing? Well, they say the club offers ‘full-face performance' from its large face and an MOI that is 13% higher than its predecessor, the HiBore XL. Stability foils also aid alignment.
Cleveland has also produced the off-set HiBore Draw with internal heel weighting for mid to high handicappers, while the HiBore Tour comes with the clubface open by two degrees and toe-biased weighting, to make the club more workable and longer for the better player.
