The Open Championship leader after three rounds and so nearly a record-smashing champion at the age of 53, perhaps Greg Norman will find solace in the 2009 sales of his Greg Norman Collection apparel. The Australian may not have won at Birkdale but there is no question he gave his brand exposure an enormous boost last month.

Among the range for next year is a line of polo shirts made from moisture-wicking, pill-resistant, colour-saturated, luxury fabrics, such as the ML 50 Interlock Polo (pictured). This shirt, part of Norman's Play Dry Performance category, is made from an ultra-fine microfibre to ensure the shirt is both lightweight and provides 50+ UPF.

The ML50 is available in solid colours or stripes of seasport, haze, equator, cardinal, leek and black.
