Wilson
FYbrid
Published: 11 July, 2008
The Wilson Golf R&D team developed this club with a new sole with heel, toe and central shaping to boost playability from all lies. The central relief helps stop the club bouncing into the ball at impact if it hits the ground too early, a common cause of thin shots. The toe and heel reliefs also make the clubs more playable from sloping lies and allow the club to be laid open or closed for more advanced shot-making.
The Fybrid family covers driver and the 6-iron lofts, delivering measurable distances between the clubs they replace or, in the case of the 19.5° model, providing a bridge that lies between current fairway woods and hybrids. Lofts are 15º, 18º, 19.5º, 21º, 24º and 27º.
